Asus Zenfone 8 - Flagship Chip Snapdragon 888 Smartphone

Asus has finally launched their most awaited phone named Zenfone 8. All the early leaks about the processor, camera, etc. were almost accurate. Snapdragon's flagship processor is what makes it one of the best 5G smartphones that are going to be available in the market soon.

Let's have a look at the specifications set of the smartphone that makes it stand out:

Form Factor and Design: Having the dimensions of 148 x 68.5 x 8.9 mm, the phone weighs around 169 gm. It has got a 3D-curved back that perfectly fits your palm for the most comfortable grip for total control. The smartphone is available in three different colors named Obsidian Black, Horizon Silver, and Moonlight White. 

Battery: The smartphone is powered by a 4000 mAh battery which can be fueled with a USB-C to USB-C 30 W charger that offers Quick Charge 4.0 and PD(Power Delivery) 3.0 PPS Charging. The 30 W charger can fully charge the phone in 80 minutes. It also offers multiple automatic power modes that let the user choose anything from optimized performance to maximum battery life.

Display: It has got a 5.9-inch AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The 120 Hz / 1 ms Samsung AMOLED display offers a resolution of 2400 x 1080 and a peak brightness of 1100 nits. For a better viewing experience, the phone comes with an HDR 10 and HDR10+ certification. The Capacitive touch panel offers 10 points multi-touch and also supports an Always-on display.

Processor: The Zenfone 8 is backed up by a 2.84 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 flagship 5G mobile processor. The processor is a 64-bit Octa-Core Processor which is based on the 5 nm ARM architecture. While the GPU equipped in the smartphone is the Qualcomm® Adreno™ 660, which is expected to offer the best gaming performance. 

Storage: The new Zenfone 8 will be available in 4 LPDDR5 RAM(8GB, 16GB, 12GB and 6GB) and 3 UFS 3.1 Storage(64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB) variants. 

Camera: At the back, it has got a dual-camera setup from which the primary camera is an f1.8 aperture 64 Megapixels Wide-angle camera with a Sony IMX686 flagship sensor. The camera supports Quad Bayer technology for better color quality and also it has got an optical image stabilization for a stable image. The other camera is a  12 MP Ultra wide-angle camera with a Sony IMX363 flagship sensor which offers Dual PD autofocus and 4 cm macro shots. The rear camera offers Photo, Portrait, Pro (RAW file support, up to 32 seconds long exposure), Panorama, Night modes, and can record videos up to 8K UHD (7680 x 4320) at 24 fps. 

The front camera is a 12 MP camera equipped with a Sony IMX663 sensor which offers Photo and Portrait modes. 

Connectivity: Talking about connectivity, the smartphone offers 5G and 4G dual-SIM / dual-standby support. Apart from these it also supports 3G and 2G connectivity. It also has Integrated WiFi 6/6E Wi-Fi technology that supports tri-band 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz/ 6 GHz WiFi. It also comes with connectivity features as Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi Direct, NFC, etc. For Navigation purposes, it has got GPS and other renowned technologies such as GLONASS, GALILEO, etc. It also comes with a NavIC technology which is backed up by the ISRO. 

Sensors: A plethora of sensors such as Gyroscope sensor, E-compass sensor, Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, G-sensor, Hall sensor, Accelerator sensor, and Angle sensor come packed in this smartphones for better usability. 

Audio: It has got Dual stereo speakers at both ends with Dirac HD Sound support. The stereo speakers are driven by two of the most advanced audio amplifiers for higher volume, wider dynamic range, deeper bass, and superb tonal balance. Luckily for the audio output, it has got a 3.5 mm audio jack. For audio input, it has got Triple microphones with OZO Audio Zoom & ASUS Noise Reduction Technology for a noise-free experience. 

Features: The best feature about the phone is that it comes with a Stock Android Version 11 which will offer a clean experience. Apart from this, it has also got One-Hand Mode, Battery Modes, dark mode, Blue light protection, etc. It has Zen UI8 user face installed into it which offers multiple customizations features to the user.

Safety and Security: For security purposes, it has got a fast In-display fingerprint and a Face recognition sensor equipped into the screen. For the safety of the device, it has got Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection for best screen protection and IP65/IP68 protection for Water and dust resistance. It also comes with an in-the-box protective case.
