Data Breach of Dominos India leaked the data of 18 Crore Orders

Data of your favorite Pizza Brand named "Dominos India" has been leaked online. Earlier in April, the hacker(Alon Gal) had claimed to get access to 13TB worth of Dominos data. The data leak includes details about the 18 crore orders which contained phone numbers, address details, email addresses, credit card details, and payment details of users.

Indian Security Researcher named Rajshekhar Rajaharia, who had confirmed the Mobikwik Data Leak, this time also took the issue about the Data Breach to Twitter. Rajshekhar revealed that the data of 18 crore orders is publically available as hackers have created a search engine on the Dark web. He also claimed that If you have ordered Dominos Pizza online then you are most likely to find your data on the search engine. The leaked information includes the phone number, name, email, address, and also the GPS location of users.

Back in April, Alon Gal(Co-Founder & CTO of cybercrime intelligence firm Hudson Rock) firstly claimed about the leak and brought the incident to the Light. In a tweet, he said that "The threat actor is looking for around $550,000 for the database and saying they have plans to build a search portal to enable querying the data".

However, in an interview, the Jubilant Foodworks(Indian Food Service Company that holds the Master Franchise for Dominos Pizza in India) denied any such leak and quoted that "Jubilant FoodWorks experienced an information security incident recently. No data pertaining to the financial information of any person was accessed and the incident has not resulted in any operational or business impact. As a policy we do not store financial details or credit card data of our customers, thus no such information has been compromised. Our team of experts is investigating the matter and we have taken necessary actions to contain the incident”.

Alon Gal showed his concerns about the breach and tweeted "Plenty of large scale Indian breaches lately, this is worrying". Rajshekhar Rajaharia also tweeted "The worst part of this alleged breach is that people are using this data to spy on people. Anybody can easily search any mobile number and can check a person's past locations with date and time. This seems like a real threat to our privacy"
